FOI 20th Reunion
If you are planning to come, please try to let us know by
October 1st so we can plan for our Saturday evening Indian
dinner and make reservations for the dinner out on Friday night.
Also if you can tell us where you will be staying and when
you plan to arrive, it would be helpful.
A couple of changes:
- On Friday evening, let's meet in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Sunspree on North Lumina Ave. in Wrightsville Beach at 6:00 pm. and go out to dinner from there.
- Our meeting on Saturday morning will be at the Holiday Inn Sunspree, not at the Blockade Runner.

Dear Friends of India,
The FOI 20th Reunion will take place in Wilmington
NC the weekend of October 14-16, 2005, beginning Friday evening and finishing Sunday
afternoon. Wilmington offers beautiful Wrightsville Beach, a picturesque historic area
on the Cape Fear River and many fine restaurants. The reunion will be informal and
centered around renewing friendships.

The Blockade Runner Hotel is a full-service beachfront hotel on Wrightsville Beach.

AIR TRAVEL TO WILMINGTON: The two major airlines servicing Wilmington are USAIR

ROAD TRAVEL TO WILMINGTON: Off of I-95 north or south, take I-40 south (about 90 miles with a 70 mph speed limit) to the end and you will be in Wilmington.

Friday, 14 October
Meet in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Sunspree on North Lumina Ave. in Wrightsville Beach at 6:00PM to go out to dinner together. Nothing else is planned for that evening.
Saturday, 15 October
9:00 AM- 12:00 Noon:
At the Holiday Inn Sunspree, the program consists of:

A speaker on India,

A speaker on things to do in Wilmington,

A speaker on a locally produced peanut sheller for use in developing countries,

A display of Indian handicrafts for sale,
-
A brief FOI business meeting,
-
An opportunity to renew acquaintances.
PLEASE NOTE: If you want to eat breakfast at the hotel before the meeting, there is a breakfast buffet for $7.95.
Afternoon:
Free...Beach, downtown Wilmington, museums, etc.
Evening: 5:30 PM
Drinks, dinner and music at the Slattery's - Indian Food!!
Sunday, 16 October
Free for getting together, sightseeing, or whatever.
